Chairman’s Blog Nov/Dec 2021

Hello ESUS Community Members,

Can’t believe it’s already the end of 2021!!! Where did the time go? The Holiday season is upon us and ESUS is busy planning for 2022, our “Year of the Circular Economy”.

As we welcome the New Year, ESUS is pleased to announce that we are also welcoming a new member to our Board, Jessica Wright. Jessica will be assuming the role of Vice-Chair.

If you attended World Workplace 2021 in Orlando, you may already know Jessica, as she spoke on our Panel, “Today, Tomorrow and Beyond – Waste Management”. Jessica is a Senior Project Manager at ecoPreserve, a sustainability /resiliency services company based in Orlando. She is known as the waste guru of Central Florida and leads the Resource Lifecycle Division. Jessica uses humor and passion to drive success and motivate large-scale project teams. She provides clients in the public and private sector with innovative and targeted program plans for implementing Corporate Sustainability planning, Zero Waste, and goal compliance. Jessica has written Sustainability management and resilient waste management programs for multiple airports such as DFW and MCO, hospital systems such as Advent Health, Counties such as Orange County Florida, and numerous commercial entities in the Central Florida region. Jessica’s problem-solving and change management skills were honed through years of experience leading operational, construction, and waste management projects. Her tireless hands-on involvement has proven effective in even the most challenging environments including hospitals, restaurants, schools, convention centers, and airports. Her approach with each client is to deep dive into their operations, observe and interact with stakeholders, and perform in-depth assessments. This information is used to develop multi-tiered solutions tailored to leverage existing resources and emerging technology for client success. She was named one of the 2020 Women to Watch this last year as part of the Women in Green Leadership program.

ESUS is so excited to have Jessica on the Board and we look forward to learning more about her many accomplishments.
