In the last decades, CHP has been successfully deployed in many critical infrastructure buildings such as hospitals, schools, hotels, water and wastewater treatment plants. There is still more than 148 GW of technical potential for new CHP across all sectors in the U.S., and much of this potential is found in critical infrastructure. The Department of Energy’s Southcentral CHP Technical Assistance Partnership (CHP TAP), will be leading a webinar on the opportunities and applications of CHP in cities at all scales: from districts to individual buildings. The potential of CHP applications to improve resilience and reduce environmental impacts in a cost-effective way will be discussed through existing CHP facilities successfully operating critical facilities for the cities that host them.
Speakers:
- Carlos Gamarra, Assistant Director, Southcentral CHP TAP
- Deborah Nabologa, Research Assistant, Southcentral CHP TAP
- Kurt West, Vice President of Business Development, 2G Energy
