Currently I work in the digitalization of hospital spaces and assets through reality capture. For spaces, the intention is to create actual drawings by comparing the original blueprint with the scanned output of these buildings. For the assets, the current project involves developing Inspection, Testing and Maintenance (ITM) task plans for the existing asset systems. The SFP certification has been influencing the implementation of sustainable and viable ideas in this project.
As part of my Masters’ thesis project, I had the opportunity to explore the concept of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) consisting of different types of maintenance, with each asset or equipment system assigned to a specific maintenance type (component). The objective of RCM is to identify potential failures beforehand and prevent the failure from occurring. This leads to an increase in the life cycle of the asset systems making the facility more sustainable.
